TMJ/TMD Syndromes

Temporomandibular joint disorders are a group of conditions affecting the jaw “joint” as well as the muscles and ligaments around it.  Chronic TMJ disorders' impact can range from mild to debilitating, and can severely impact quality of life. Symptoms include locking of the jaw, pain, headaches, ear pain, an inability to open the mouth widely, and pain in the neck and shoulders.

TMJ-related pain is often caused by the presence of myofascial trigger points (MTrPs) in the soft tissues of the face, neck, shoulders, or upper back.  Using our cutting edge technology, our therapists can pinpoint and treat trigger points anywhere in the body, including those that cause TMJ symptoms.  Our therapies are safe, effective, require no downtime, and are associated with minimal discomfort.
